Altair Technologies is the leader in designing, building, repairing and supplying both custom and production Linear Particle Accelerators, commonly known as “Guides,” to Medical and Security OEM’s, various research entities, as well as secondary market service providers (such as TOG & Oncology Servies International) who maintain oncology systems in hospitals worldwide. We supply both electron radiation and x-ray radiation Linear Accelerators (LINAC’s) ranging from 1 MeV to > 12 MeV.
We have turnkey experience with many types of electron and particle accelerators of various energy outputs. All of Altair’s products, our Accelerators (“Guides”), Electrons Guns, Ion Pumps, Target Assemblies, Electron Exit Windows and RF Windows are designed to support the accelerator community.
Altair Technologies has experience building new, remanufacturing and repairing both medical and security accelerators made by Varian (Clinacs & Linatrons), Elekta, Siemens, TomoTherapy, Accuray, Surebeam. American Science and Engineering (AS&E), IntraOp Medical (Mobetron) as well as many other companies..
We sell Electrons Guns of the type used on all of the medical oncology OEM’s waveguides and in many cases also sell Target Assemblies, Ion Pumps and RF Windows that are either used by the major OEM’s or are sold as cost competitive after-market replacements. We have many testimonials extolling the life and performance of our products.
We’ve also been involved in turnkey prototype and development with Oncology OEMs, Industrial Inspection OEMs and with national labs such as SLAC, Argonne National Lab, Fermi, Brook Haven and Lawrence Livermore.
Medical, research and security projects have included accelerators in L- Band, S-Band and X-Band frequencies.
In addition to assembly, brazing, and welding, we have both in-house machining capability and qualified outside machine shops that are actively making Side Cell and Cavity Components for the major medical OEM’s and National Labs.
Beyond assembly, we also perform high temperature, double vacuum bakeout, together with high-voltage processing and electron beam emission testing (cathode roll-off curves). Additionally we perform RF testing; VSWR VNL stop-band and bead pull, along with Side Cell and Cavity tuning.
