Diffusion Bonding

This joining technique bonds two metals together without the use of alloy. Two metals are pressed together with extreme force at high temperatures. Metal atoms diffuse into the adjacent material forming a Diffusion Bond. This technique has been thoroughly mastered by Altair. Conditions required of components for a successful Diffusion Bond:

• Surface Finish
• Temperature
• Pressure
• Time at Temperature
